This work is inspired by another work of Van de Graaf, ‘God’s Breath of Life’ and Patmos (Greece), a place so beautiful and pure, like a Garden of Eden on earth.
The painting is also a reference to the work ‘The Creation of Adam’ by Michelangelo (c. 1508 – 1512).
