Revelations from The Light

‘In this painting I tried to translate the presence of the Heavenly Light which revealed herself through Saint John while he was in a deep state of contemplation.
I like the idea that the cave represents an inner space where you look into yourself for contemplation and self-reflection. For me a key activity in modern society to move further as a human being.
It inspires me that caves have been the first spaces which gave shelter to mankind and provided the first ‘canvas’ for expression.’
