In this work you can recognise the early shaping of the themes of his current work. His first attempts to find a balance between abstraction and figuration is very prominent in this painting. He has never been interested in copying a photograph, but more what the images are telling him and how he can transmit that inspiration on the canvas. For this composition he combined two photographs of his collection of images.
